Abstract:

The purpose of this project was to travel on every trail in the Eagle Cap Wilderness, collect data, and accurately document the trail network. The aim was to benefit several user groups and promote outdoor recreation in the region. The primary users of these trails are hikers, backpackers, horseback riders, and trail runners. With an estimated 535 miles of trail (USDA, n.d.) on rugged terrain in the Eagle Cap, this was a very ambitious 10-week undertaking.
